Building trust through digital identity innovation • Yoti

We’re building the world’s trusted identity platform

An easier and secure way for you to prove who you are

Why identity needs rethinking

Proving who you are often means sharing more data than necessary. That means giving away more than you should have to.

We believe there’s a better way.

We’re here to make identity works better for everyone

We help reduce fraud and build trust in digital interactions, while enabling safer online experiences for people of all ages.

For anyone to be able to prove who they are, simply by being themselves.

Everyone should be able to prove who they are securely, protect their privacy and safely access the services and opportunities they need – wherever they are in the world.

How we do things differently

We’ve built Yoti around a clear set of principles that shape how we build technology and how we do business.

### Our
principles

Always act in the interest of our users

#### Be transparent
and accountable

#### Keep our community
safe

Enable privacy and anonymity

Keep sensitive data secure

Make Yoti available to anyone

Encourage personal data ownership

We make money from the verification services we provide to organisations. We do not, and will never, sell personal data.

How we’re held accountable

The people behind our decisions

“Accountability is a responsibility we take personally. Having real people behind every decision helps ensure we always consider the human impact of the technology we build. While people may never see the team behind the screen, everyone at Yoti understands that we’re responsible for providing a trusted, high-quality service to real people.”

Robin Tombs, CEO of Yoti

The oversight behind our decisions

We’ve built independent oversight into how we run Yoti, because trust comes from what you do, not what you say.

Through our Guardian Council, Ethics and Trust Committee, independent security and privacy audits and our commitment as a founding UK B Corp, these layers help make sure our decisions are responsible and ethical/transparent.

How we create positive impact

We work with charities around the world by giving them access to Yoti at a reduced cost.

We collaborate with global experts and industry bodies to help shape the future of online safety, privacy, security and trust. Through ongoing engagement, we contribute to research, standards and policy discussions that support safer digital experiences worldwide.

Since Yoti was founded in 2014, we’ve committed 1% of revenue and 2.5% of profit to the Yoti Foundation which champions growing initiatives that tackle challenges around the world.
